Bertolt Brecht
Bertolt Brecht, né le à Augsbourg (Bavière) et mort le à Berlin-Est (RDA), est un dramaturge, metteur en scène, écrivain et poète allemand.Il acquiert une renommée internationale avec ''L'Opéra de quat'sous'' créé en 1928. Vivant en exil en Scandinavie, puis aux États-Unis pendant la période nazie, il est inquiété au moment du maccarthysme. Il s'installe en 1949 à Berlin-Est, en République démocratique allemande, où il crée la compagnie du Berliner Ensemble avec son épouse, la comédienne Helene Weigel.
